Thanks to an abnormally deep arctic trough, San Antonio is setting all-time record low temperatures this week.
Tuesday will go down as the coldest Oct 16 in San Antonio history, according to the NWS, with a max temp of just 10C (50F), smashing the previous record-low high of 16C (61F) set in 1912.
Wednesday’s mercury is forecast to creep a little higher, to 12.8C (55F), but that would still be cold enough to bust the previous record from way back in 1889, of 13.9C (57F).
These low temperatures are very unusual for this time of year, they tend to blow in around December.
